Review and analysis of energy saving control methods for chiller plant variable flow systems

Presents the development history of HVAC control system, characteristics of control system for chiller plant and advantage and disadvantage of PID control method. Specially presents the control method of ultra-high efficiency and all variable speed chiller plant—Hartman Loop control and its energy saving feature compared to PID control method.
